Kote Mikaberidze  was born on July 13, 1896 in Termuck (now Kuban). In 1919, he worked in Kutaisi Young Artists Group. In 1920, he moved to Tbilisi and studied at Akaki Phagava’s Drama Studio. From 1921, he was an actor of Saqkinmretsvi (now Qartuli Filmi Studio). In 1929, he made a film “chemi bebia” (My Grandmother) which was banned immediately after the first screening. The film spent 38 years on the shelf of the studio. In 1932, he made a film on everyday life in agricultural collective farm, “Hasan”. From 1933, he spent years teaching at the Artists School. In 1953, he made a cartoon “Zuriko and Mariko”. In the last years of his life, he worked in dubbing studio translating Russian films into Georgian language. He was Honorary Artist of Georgia (1945). Kote Mikaberidze died on January 9, 1973.
