A gipsy who wins the traditional horse race gets beautiful Anika as a reward. But the girl rejects the winner, steals his horse and elopes with her lover. Feud that breaks out between the two families passes from generation to generation. However Gitsa and Miora fall for each other. Gitsa’s insulted father finds Miora alone flogs her and burns down her house. Gitsa manages to rescue Miora from the fire.
