Rezo Esadze – He was born on February 18, 1934 in Shemokmedi (Georgia, Ozugeti region). He studied physics at Ivane Javakhishvili State University of Tbilisi and after graduation worked at the department of astrophysics in 1956. In 1963-1975, he worked in Tbilisi secondary school as a teacher of physics and astronomy. In 1965, Rezo Esadze graduated from Moscow National Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) where he studied film directing under Mikhail Romm. Rezo Esadze was recipient of state prizes including Honored Art Worker of Georgia (1980), Lenin Komsomol Prize (1982), People’s Artist of Georgia (1986) and Honor Medal (1994).Rezo Esadze died on April 18, 2020 in Georgia.
