The Chokhelis from Gudamakhari are cranky people who wish to build one common family house. They even have a man called Gamikhardai who collects the Chokhelis sorrows. On one occasion an old woman informs the Chokhelis that someone in the neighboring village dared to refuse to let his daughter marry one of the Chokhelis. The insulted family gets together and plunders the village. The Chokhelis also get a promise from the defeated villagers that from then on nobody would ever deny to let their women marry the Chokhelis. The cocksure family soon gets bored with fighting and sets forth home. On their way the Chokhelis decide to share their sorrows with one wise old man who lives on top of the mountain. The old man pays his attention to the Chokhelis main sorrow – the oncoming end of their homeland.
