Levan Khidasheli, an engineer wishes to apply the new method of melting the steel in Rustavi metallurgical plant. He soon wins respect of his colleagues, though after a while they find out that Levan can go to any extent for his personal well-being. Levan does not even hide his plan that after he gets appointed chief of the workshop, he will defend a thesis and use factory for his personal career. Levan dumps Natia and marries the Mindadze’s daughter. Soon he divorces her too. After Levan’s friends turn their back on him, Levan understands that he sacrificed his integrity, love and friendship to his career and feels lonely.
