The Soviet guerillas disseminate anti-Nazi proclamations in the German occupied Simferopol, blow up enemy fuel stockpiles and transportation. Zoya Rukhadze together with the experienced spy named Golitsin lure the German expert into the forest and send him to the Soviet zone by plane. The Germans start indiscriminate arrests in the city. They throw anyone called Zoya in jail. The center demands that Zoya Rukhadze immediately leave the city. However Zoya cannot tolerate that so many innocent women may be killed because of her. Resolved to act decisively, Zoya Rukhadze gives up and discloses herself.
