The film depicts the life of the post WWII Georgian village. Kesow gets appointed chief of the working brigade in the village of Saken. Kesow Mirba wishes to have a good wheat harvest on the unfertile soil of the mountain village. He is confident that the soil is rich with mineral fertilizers. A group of peasants oppose Kesow’s ideas and want to continue the old way of life. For that purpose they fabricate the sample of soil that is sent to the lab for the tests. Thanks to Kama, Kesow’s sweetheart, the truth comes out and the crooks get punished. In the end, the authorities begin the consumption of mineral resources in Saken
