Stephan Petrov, who is entrusted to take a letter to Lenin is killed by kulaks. Varvara, his widow decides to accomplish the task instead of her husband but the news of Lenin’s death catches her on her way to Moscow. Instead, she passes the letter to comrade Stalin… Time passes. After the Second World War the fate puts her face to face to Stalin for the second time.
