Khevsurs killed two Kists in the remote part of Georgia. According to the customs, the Kists must seek for blood revenge but they refuse to do it. Instead, they bury the dead and propose peace. The Khevsurs reject their proposal. They attack and kill Mgelia, the one who supports the peace proposal. Torghva, his brother believes it’s not the Kists who killed him and refuses to seek for the revenge. He has to prove to the others that the real starters of the conflict are those who don’t want to deal with rapidly approaching changes in the lives of the mountainous people.
