Cashier Znachovski and his wife get fascinated by reading a book about the way of life of the Caucasians. Znachovski’s wife gets acquainted with a Georgian actor. She invites him home and later decides to go with him to Georgia. In quest of his wife Znachovski rushes to the railway station. There he cannot fight down the temptation and follows the train to Georgia. Happy Znachovski returns home clad in the Caucasian clothes. When he finds out that he can’t take off the Caucasian jackboots without the doorman’s help, Znachovski loses interest in the exotic life of the Caucasus.
