was born on October 15, 1907, in Zugdidi. He got the elementary education in Zugdidi. In 1930, he completed 8 semesters of the faculty of economics of Tbilisi State University. He did not get a diploma. In 1933, he graduated from Tbilisi Art Academy. From 1929, he was working for Sakhkinmretvi initially as an apprentice of a producer and from 1930, by order, was appointed producer-animator.
