was born on February 27, 1899, in Senaki. From 1927, he was working in Georgian cinema, as a scriptwriter and from 1929 – as a producer. He was a “Lefel” (The Lefels were completely ignoring the principles of feature films and believed that only chronicle was able to show the truth). In 1941-1955, he was the Deputy Minister of the cinematography of the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic and then the Head of the Administration of the Ministry of Culture. In 1941-1946, he was the chairman of the Radio Committee. In 50ies, he returned to production and started screen adaptation of pieces of writing. Honored Artist of the Republic.
