A thirteen-year-old girl Taso, her mother and grandfather live in an isolated house near the forest. The only connections with the outside world are the sounds of the passing trains, maps and postcards of the faraway cities and the music tutor. Taso is terribly bored of the piano, music and especially the etude, which she has to play endlessly. However, each visit of the tutor is a kind of festivity for her as she is infatuated with him, which is typical of her age. The mother does not care about anything and anyone, but the grandfather feels and sees everything. Taso is just a child for the tutor, but suddenly he discovers a woman in her mother.
