A young man sits begging in the street. Untouched, the passers-by throw some coins into the hat at his feet. A little girl feels so sorry for the beggar that she decides to arrange a ‘charity performance’ for the next-door children and collect some money for him. But instead of money, the spectators give her pieces with fi gures written in feltpen. She takes the collected ‘money’ to the beggar and runs back home happily. Suddenly the papers in the hat turn into money, into real Georgian banknotes. Hardly believing his eyes, the young man checks again to make sure that he holds real money in his hands.
