The resting Samurai describes exactely 24 hours from the life of a well-off family living in the socially tangled city of Tbilisi. The family has everything perfectly tuned and well-organized. Tamuna, an adult woman and a wife and a mother, is about to leave for London and spend a few days with her lover. She trues to solve all the family issues before the departure, but her plans are upset by an old friend of their family-Zaza, a well-known thief, who arrives in the city.
