A story of three outcasts – an unemployed Georgian film director, a Ukrainian ex-stuntman, and a Canadian female fighter for the rights of wild animals – making their desperate journey from Tbilisi, the capital of ex-Soviet Georgia plunged into a civil war, to Berlin Zoo in order to take the film studio’s bear there at the beginning of 1992. Each of the three characters is pursuing their own goal without even realizing how much their fates are intertwined.
