How life would change if you were suddenly diagnosed with a life threatening disease. If this disease was drug resistant tuberculosis and you were living in Georgia you would be without any support from family and friends, you’d be isolated from everybody and stigmatized. You’d be sent to a huge hospital deep in the mountain forest where you could only wait for the verdict of fate.

This is a story about patients, who contract mutated tuberculosis. The film shows their transformation from old to new in the waiting room of Abastumani.
