Deduna lives with her father in a deserted village. Sometimes she puts up the clothes of her defunct mother and stares at the dirt road from her window as if waiting for someone. On one occasion her father brings an orphan boy to stay overnight at their house. It turns out that the boy left the orphanage to visit his grandparents. He leaves the next morning. It occurs to Deduna that from now on she has a caring brother, who will be by her side if something goes wrong.
