After the death of an old lady Nutsa, an orphan girl is left without a caretaker. A young serf owner who meets the girl at her mother’s funeral rapes her. Pregnant Nutsa gets married to a poor peasant Simona. On one occasion drunk and beaten up Simona returns home and abuses Nutsa. The latter commits suicide.
