Mishiko Kakhiani does not go against his family traditions and becomes a constructor. He gets appointed as chief of the working unit in Russia. There he gets acquainted with Maria. She is from the Baltics and has a baby. Mishiko ignores gossips about Maria and falls in love with her. Soon he gets news about his father’s illness and goes to Tbilisi together with Maria and her son. Mishiko’s father dies. He leaves Maria in Tbilisi as his wife and returns to Russia to complete his work.
