Jaba Imedadze, a lead expert of the Agricultural Institute, works on a new brand of the highly productive vine. His wife is interested neither in Jaba’s work, nor in the family affairs. Jaba also has his secret. He likes his coworker Irma. On one occasion Jaba rejects the thesis of his colleague Evgeny Gamtsemlidze who manages to bribe Jaba’s wife. Jaba’s life at home and at work gets into dire straits. Eventually he decides to divorce and goes to his home village to carry on with his experiment.
