To increase the grape harvest volumes, the kolkhoz members decide to cut down the old vineyards. They involve the local school pupils in it. Old man Giga, an experienced vine-grower himself doesn’t want the old vineyards to be cut down. Dato, his grand son refuses to listen to the old man’s advises. His subsequent actions trigger a chain of events that lead Gigia to cut the vineyard himself.
