Giorgi Saakadze turns into people’s hero after defeating the enemy in the 17th century divided Georgia, plundered by the Turks and Persians. After the victorious battle Giorgi urges king Luarsab to unify the divided country. The king gets married to Giorgi’s sister. The envious Prince Shadiman and other Georgian noble families do not spare the effort to put sticks in the bars at Giorgi’s aspiration. The latter finds shelter in the Shah’s kingdom and is welcomed there. After a while, complying to the order of Shah Abbas, Saakadze leads the Persian army to Georgia. Naturally, he is regarded a traitor but in fact his plan is to get rid of the rebellious noblemen and unite Georgia
