After graduating from the university Mansume Musaeva arrives to Baku where she and her husband engage into educational activities. One day she meets a former Tsarist officer turned into a police chief Efendiev who tries to win her heart. When Mansume firmly rejects him he tries to submit her with force and fails again. Meanwhile, Mansume finds out that Efendiev is a man who killed her father during the raid on her native village.
