Streshnov, a first cornet of the military orchestra, serves devotedly to the Tzarist Russia. He does not believe in either revolution or the committee of soldiers. He does not care about his son’s authority who becomes a military regiment’s colonel after the revolution. Streshniov remains loyal to his former chief, colonel Garaburda, whom he once saved from death. With the help of Stershniov Garaburda takes back his position in the White guard camp and becomes the chief of the garrison. Streshniov now works as Garaburda’s servant and silently tolerates his inhuman treatment. However, when he finds out that Garaburda is going to detroy his son’s regiment, the class self-consciousness awakens in him. He immediately informs the revolutionaries and moves to their side.
