In the absurdity of war, one loses the ability to relate, loses the sense of values. Told in Ionesco’s manner, the story is about a man and a woman, the couple who lost the sense of reality. Despite constant rivalry, they cannot live without each other. Even though the war is over, they still remain apart, in the isolated world where there is no fright any more, only silence.
