Van Gogh – is a face of love for us. He was looking for love in human beings. In this search he found great disappointment and pain. He found release in painting and channeled his love into his work. It was because of this that he said, while admiring the work of another artist: "I had a feeling that I should take off my shoes, as the place you are standing on – is sacred land".
