Young Eve’s life becomes meaningless after her groom gets killed. She marries Spiridon without being in love with him. After many years she finds out that it was Spiridon who killed her beloved groom. Eve is destined to live a long life that ran parallel with great political changes as well – the revolution, NEP and collectivization.
