A widowed Bernarda Alba cannot find the deserved grooms for her daughters. She makes no concessions in a firm belief that its better that her daughters turn into spinsters rather marry the unwanted men. The locked up girls cannot decide for themselves. Because of the man called Pepe, the sisters Adela and Angustias confront each other. Frustrated Adela takes her life.
