The marriage of one American farmer to young and ambitious woman named Helen changes the lives of his three sons. Richard, the oldest who’s secretly in love with his stepmother, succeeds in sending his younger brothers to Klondike and becomes her lover. The only obstacle for them remains the old farmer. Richard tries to persuade his lover to murder the old man but Helen misunderstands his intentions and kills their newborn child instead.
